It is the effectiveness with which an economy uses materials extracted from natural resources (physical inputs) to generate economic value (monetary outputs). GDP expressed at constant 2010 USD PPP prices. Domestic material consumption (DMC) refers to the amount of materials directly used in an economy, or the apparent consumption of materials. DMC is computed as domestic extraction used minus exports plus imports.
